Chapter 1 - Rock!
A rocky shore in the island.
After arriving the island, we went North for the Tin Hau Temple.
Tin Hau is an Chinese goddess, you can see her temple all around Hong Kong.
What makes this temple special is that it has a nice view. Most other temples are in the urban region, so it is hard to see a pretty view like this.

Near the temple, you can see the first strange rock, Snail Rock.

The rock of Po Toi Island is mainly granite.
After thousands or even millions of erosion, the rocks obtain such interesting appearances.
After visiting the temple and Snail Rock, you can go up to the hill through a rocky road.
It may be a challenge to those who does not hike often.

An interesting rock without a name
After the rocky road, it becomes normal hiking track.
You will see various strange rock formations during the hike, and you will meet a junction.
If you turn right you will visit a Haunted House (which belonged to Family Mo),
and then return to the pier.
However, if you go straight (which I did), you will go to the South of the island.
Before reaching the South, there is a pavilion, where you can take a rest.

South of Po Toi Island
At the South of the islsnd, you can see Turtle Rock!
One of the 10 most beautiful rocks in Hong Kong!
And there is another strange rock next to the turtle, the Supine Monk.

You will reach a large rocky shore, after pass through a small light house.
Here is the Southern most of the Southern most Island of Hong Kong!
The small building on top of the mountain is the small light house
When you return to the pier, you can see Palm Cliff, which is a lateral joint, and ancient rock craving, which is suggested to date back the Bronze age
(around 1500-700 BC, in other words, it is 3,000 years old)
